Bronnie Gordon Band BGB has been together for a couple of years but the band members have all been in the game 30 years or more. Individually each have a wealth of experience and when it comes to the stage all that experience comes tumbling out in an exciting and energised live performance.
Bronnie has no inhibitions at being out front on vocals and with a voice that soars and sweeps up the soul emotions Bronnie, up front gives the band a sizzling edge. After a stint in Perth playing with performers Steve Tallis, Matt Taylor (Chain), John Meyer (Rose Tattoo), Dirk DuBois (Chain), Lindsay Wells to name just a few, Bronnie has acquired many admirers. Her own Perth band “Bluefire” was headline act at Bindoon Rock Festival (WA) on more than one occasion. On returning to Melbourne Bronnie released her CD “Hanging Free” and performed with the likes of Geoff Achsion, Dutch Tilders, Phil Manning and Lloyd Speigel before forming the BGB band.
Mick Rohotas (guitar) was in The Gathering, backed Billy Preston, and played in Hercules and Hammaraxx. Ian Logie (bass) and John Longo (drums) are session musicians with many recordings to their name and recently were in Smokehouse with Mick. Ray Moon (keys) is the newest member of BGB. Ray played with Blackfeather, Hot City Bump Band, Skintight with Lyndsay Hammond and has played in numerous big bands up and down the coast. BGB performed at the Sunbury Backroad Festival in October 2008 and April, 2010. In September 2009 BGB completed their CD/DVD “BGB Live at Musicland” and on its release gained wide exposure and recognition. Besides a busy playing schedule they have been writing new material and are looking at returning to the recording studio later this year to put down these new tracks. As well as other gigs around Melbourne they hold down the house band role at Musicland.
Collectively they are BGB; they play a blend of tough original blues/rock that will have you asking for more. Read more here
