Carloua ZEP is a Led Zeppelin Tribute band from Sydney. The original band “Carloua” is a soulful rhythm and blues band with a sound resonant of the “golden age” of the Chicago blues clubs. There are many influences in Carloua’s sound, shaping their passion and power in performance, while still delivering a faithful rendition of the Blues classics.
The expressive guitar sound from Louis is reflective of Freddie King, Jimmy Reed, Jimmy Rogers and BB King. Louis’ guitar sings strong, melodic hooks with clean, crisp dynamics. Their music includes songs by Etta James, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and more, even a few original numbers. These classics are delivered by Carla’s vocals which range from sweet to raunchy. To complement Louis on Guitar, the band includes the brilliant keyboard player Mike Jones, whilst the rhythm section is held together by our well oiled Mick Field on Bass and Peter Mifsud or George on drums. With this line up, Carloua delivers accurate and energetic renditions from the Led Zepplin catalogue.
Carloua originally formed 15 years ago, and having done the hard yard in their home grown Blues turf, they now enjoy delivering the kind of Blues that get your feet tapping and your heart pumping.
