Buxstock 2012

Welcome to the official site of the Buxstock Music Festival, which is a private function and will be held, for the second time, on the premises of the Ukrainian Youth Association campgrounds in Buxton, Victoria.

Buxton is just a couple of hours drive from Melbourne, through the magnificent Black Spur Drive so come and celebrate all that is dynamic, diverse and divine about music in the bush!

The facilities at the campgroud were totally destroyed by the Black Saturday bushfires (February 2009) – so it will be a ‘Back to Basics’ weekend. Note that the toilet and shower block was the only building left standing – so no need for digging holes!

This year, there will be meals and fresh coffee and cakes available for purchase.. more details to come..

Buxstock will be held over 3 days bringing together grass roots and well-known bands and performers. All visitors and musicians who wish to participate must register. All Instruments are welcome.

What do I need to bring?

  • Your instuments and Amplifiers
  • Everything else – inc. tents, drinks, snacks, eating utensils, glasses, esky, chairs, clothes, high spirit!

What will be provided?

  • Electricity and running water!
  • A 5000Watt PA system, under cover stage
  • Microphones and Microphone Stands
  • Some shelter (tarps) – in case it rains..

Entry Fees

Performers and partners – FREE
Children under 16  – FREE

$20 per adult per day, or
$50 per adult for the entire weekend, including campsite (byo tent)

The fees assist in covering the costs of equipment hire, electricity usage, LPG and BBQ gas, garbage removal etc, any money left over will go toward the rebuild of the facilities.

We thank all the bands and performers for donating their time!
